Happy stitcher is a little behind on her blog but things are slowing down so I will try to catch up. The 4th of July was very busy for us at the park and we worked some long hours. Then on Monday Becky came for a week and we caught up on stitching and visiting. It was really a fun visit. Then that Saturday the Texas crew arrived and the fun continued. What a fun time we had. Since they left last week we have had time to catch up on a little sleep and I have even had time to do some stitching. I will need to take some pictures and insert them in my blog.
I look forward to the quilt show this weekend and the quilt retreat next week. It seems like the days go by too fast. Tomorrow is my stitching day with my friends at the shop. It is always fun and a great treat.

Happy Fourth
What is there about the 4th of July fireworks that can bring a lump to your throat and tears to your eyes! We have not seen the fireworks up close in a long time as our dog Pebbles was terrified of them. We would have to take her downstairs and turn up the TV so she would stop shaking. I must say we had a wonderful evening with lots of food and great fireworks. I think we'll do it again next year.

A real cowgirl
After reading the blog of the mayor of crazytown and viewing the pictures of Little Miss that definitely is not a cowboy hat. We must do something about that. Is it possible to knit one?
Seeing the rodeo pictures it brought back a lot of memories of riding horses and rodeos. Do you recognize who is riding with grandpa? We have great memories of rodeo's. We spent many a night at a rodeo. Dave loves to remind us of the night we left him in the car when we got home from a rodeo. We thought we got everyone in out of the car and then in the night we heard this pounding ont he door and someone saying "let me in". Those were the days!!!

I am a very busy retired ? grandma who loves to stitch and travel. When I say retired I mean sort of. I work part time in the office at our local park 3 or 4 days a week. I have six children whom I love to visit. Sometimes not often enough it seems. Our grandchildren are all growing up too fast and now we have 6 great grandchildren.
My favorite day of the week is Thursday as I get to go needlepoint with my stitching friends at our local shop. We call ourselves the Thursday Whimsies. Not sure how to spell that but it is close enough.
Welcome to my blog and hopefully it will be kept updated with pictures, etc. as soon as I figure out how to do it.
